Job Summary

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Undertake the design of both public and private sector municipal servicing projects (i.e. sewage pumping stations and water booster stations elevated tanks reservoirs and water/wastewater treatment systems) including engineering drawings engineering reports presentations and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.

• Coordinate the design with review/input from the various municipal/utility/approval agencies/stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals.

• Liaise with clients municipalities and other agencies to secure approvals.

• Assist developing and managing project scope budget staffing and schedule.

• Prepare contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications).

• May conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.

• May provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.

• Participate in constructability review.

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.

• Mentor recently hired junior team members on the various facets of municipal infrastructure design.

• Prepare portions of engineering project proposals change orders client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Civil or Chemical Engineering or other related field.

• . licensure with P.E.O

• 57 years of experience in the of wastewater infrastructure (sewer pumping stations booster pumping stations reservoir and elevated tanks and water and wastewater treatment plants) projects preferred.

• Experience with Master Planning Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario considered or equivalent in other Provinces is considered an asset.

• Contract administration experience is considered an asset.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment we have provided the base compensation range of $78000 $103000 annually for this position and local market.
