You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Administration team within the Major Projects Directorate of Transport Scotland is responsible for providing administrative support to three Design Teams regarding the design assessment and promotion of a number of key infrastructure projects on the Motorway and Trunk Road Programme including the flagship A9 Dualling Programme improvements to the A96 and the A83 Rest and be Thankful.
This Project Administrator post will be responsible for the administration work necessary to take forward the statutory procedures for promoting new trunk road projects for Design Team 3 which predominantly leads on promoting improvements to the A96. This will involve dealing with the administration of compensation claims and invoices received into the Branch.
Act as the initial point of contact for incoming telephone calls mail and email correspondence providing an initial response to enquiries and handling/signposting as appropriate.
Organise a range of meetings/conferences including booking meeting rooms and ensure all IT equipment is provided.
Arranging car hire and hospitality for colleagues and act as Requisitioner for any such orders through the Scottish Governments electronic ordering and payment system.
Book transport and accommodation as required.
Recording scanning photocopying processing and distributing as appropriate all mail coming into the Branch.
Receive log record and electronically store invoices from our suppliers and ensure all accounts are paid within 10 working days of receipt in accordance with SGs payment policy.
Process land and other compensation related payments arising from the preparation and construction of major road infrastructure improvements and process payment in accordance with the relevant statutory timescales.
Maintain the Branchs records following Scottish Government information management by storing documents and records of all work related activities on our electronic filing system ensuring items adhere to the standard naming convention when stored.

Working Pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week. We offer a range of flexible and hybrid working options depending on the needs of the role. If you have specific questions about the role you are applying for please contact us.
You will require to be office based twice per week pro rata.
