Who we want
As the Events Coordinator III youll be the central hub for organizing and managing events and conferences. Youll liaise with clients before and after events representing our facility at the Bush School Teaching Site in Washington D.C. Your event planning and marketing experience will enable your success in advising on room capacities setup options equipment availability and resources. Your expertise will ensure seamless event and youll provide valuable guidance and support to employees assisting with events. Location: This position is located in Washington D. C.
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hires experience
Cover Letter/Resume: A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended
Note: Ability to move furniture AV equipment and staging of heavy weight
Schedule: Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years of related experience in event planning and marketing including related supervisory experience
Preferred Experience:
Experience in planning implementing and evaluating small to largescale university events
Responsibilities
Event Coordination:
Responsible for leading the coordination of events and conferences at the Washington D.C. teaching site including space requests contract negotiation and service requirements and deliveries
Serves as an onsite customer liaison during events leads post event reviews and follow up contact makes recommendations for policy and procedure implementation and completes all billing and rental invoices
Represent the facility and advise clients who wish to reserve space in the facility on room capacities setup options equipment availability and resources
Provides guidance and support to employees who are assisting events
Event Support and Calendar:
Oversees setup and other preparations for meetings and conferences
Provides support for planning and implementing events at the Bush School DC teaching site to include serving as a lead in high profile events
Assists in strategic planning for events
Oversees the centralized events calendar for the Washington D.C. teaching site
