Experienced Equipment Quality Analyst (EQA) Mechanical Component Failure Analyst

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced Equipment Quality Analyst (EQA) Mechanical Component Failure Analyst to join our Equipment Quality Analysis (EQA) team located in Seattle Washington.

The EQA Team performs failure analysis of airplane hydraulic mechanical and electrical components and systems. An ideal candidate will be skilled in evaluating systemsrelated problems working within a testing environment have strong technical report writing skills and experience engaging with crossfunctional groups.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analyses of airplane hydraulic electrohydraulic and mechanical components and systems to determine the cause and corrective action
  • Experience in other technical disciplines is helpful
  • Emphasis on bench testing skills technical evaluation analytical reasoning and report writing
  • Maintain a working knowledge of airplane components related systems and supporting technical documentation is recommended
  • Develop or create test methods to replicate failure modes
  • Lead analysis teams comprised of Suppliers Boeing Quality Engineering personnel Manufacturing airline representatives and government representatives
  • Prepare formal technical reports of investigations and results for internal and/or external customers
  • Provide technical reports of investigations for legal documentation and for dissemination to government agencies
  • Willing and able to travel 10 of the time

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis
  • 1 years of experience writing technical reports
  • Must be able to travel 10 of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of excellent customer interface dealing with investigations technical examinations that can last 13 days
  • Experience using hydraulic test equipment and precision measurement equipment
  • Experience collaborating with other technical analysis and testing labs
  • Experience working with customers in production engineering departments airline industry and governmental agencies
