Directly responsible to the Executive Director of Student Support Services and to the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designees.

This position is grantfunded.

Statement of CPPI:

The Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative funding supports the advancement of public and private preschools early education and care system work.

The CPPI Coordinator position will oversee the Haverhill Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative (CPPI) grant. The goals of the grant are expansion and improved access to quality preschool while building locally aligned quality and equitable access to special education and inclusion. This position is subject to grant funding and is funded by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)

This is an inperson position. The selected candidate will be located at a tobedetermined location within the Haverhill Public Schools. Remote work is not an option.


Statement of Duties

CPPI Grant Duties

HPS Duties

Collaborate with the Grants Manager in overseeing the CPPI grant finances.

Assist the Grants Manager in CPPI grant writing and amendments.

Adhere to all grantrelated deadlines.

Collaborate with district staff and community partner staff involved in the development and/or implementation of CPPIrelated early childhood plans/goals.

Attend all relevant EEC meetings or trainings.

Coordinate and facilitate all CPPI Grant Leadership Team meetings.

Responsible for maintaining an agenda and minutes for all meetings.

Assist with student enrollment protocols and outreach for public school CPPI classroom(s).

Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the Haverhill Public Schools CPPI staff.

Attend all CLASS tool trainings

Maintain a CLASS Reliable Rater certification to support program evaluations as instructed by the grant guidelines.

Monitor and report on program quality using required templates and tools as outlined by the CPPI grant

Responsible for the oversight and management of the CPPI Inclusion Services including coaching technical assistance and professional development

Responsible for the evaluation of CPPI Inclusion staff and CPPI grant classroom staff

Coordinate with Teaching and Inclusion Teams to plan and implement an Inclusion Services Plan that addresses all developmental areas for children with special needs

Collaborate with the Supervisor of K8 Literacy for HPS to support literacy initiatives (including PRISM grant) within CPPI classrooms and partner programs.

Act as a liaison between the school administration/community partners and the grants manager for the purpose of placing orders and tracking grant purchases.

Communicate effectively with district staff community members community partners and the Community Preschool Leadership Team.

Coordinate and implement the outreach services and programs in the areas of family literacy early childhood screenings and school readiness activities.

Strive to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning.

Requires an individual who can work independently has excellent time management communication organization skills is attentive to detail and has the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner is required.

Work the requisite hours needed to meet the responsibilities of the aforementioned job description.

Able to work some summer hours as defined by CPPI grant initiatives (i.e. Farmers Market CPPI leadership meetings data collection etc)

Assists the Special Education Department in providing quality professional development and learning curriculum instruction and student assessment.

Collaborate with the Supervisor of K8 Literacy for HPS to support literacy initiatives (including PRISM grant) within HPS EEC classrooms.

Evaluate HPS staff as directed by the Executive Director of Student Support per teacher contract guidelines and deadlines.

Collect and report on EEC Indicators for the Public Preschool program collaborating with staff and ETFs for data collection.

Support and evaluate the EEC student evaluation team.

Able to work some summer hours to support Indicator data collection and submission

Perform additional duties as designated by the Executive Director of Student Services which may include (but are not limited to): Indicator data collection and submissions teacher evaluations etc.

Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

Act as the Administratorincharge of the Haverhill Public Schools Annex which includes (but is not limited to) leading a crisis team providing problemsolving support and monitoring checkin system.

Qualifications:

Licensed as a Special Education Administrator from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Required

Licensed in Early Childhood (PreK2 and/or Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities PreK2 Preferred

Minimum of a Masters Degree

Demonstrate a minimum of five 5 years of successful experience as a preschool Principal.

Experience designing and implementing curriculum for preschoolaged students with and without disabilities

Bilingual Preferred

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
