THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Park Resource Ranger DCNR your primary role will involve ensuring visitor safety provide patrons with information and educate the public about park rules and regulations as you strive to protect Pine Grove State Park resources. Specific duties will involve providing information to park visitors about park facilities services nearby state parks and offering emergency assistance when necessary. Your commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment will play a crucial part in enhancing the overall experience for everyone who visits.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime seasonal employment
- Work schedule will vary due to the seasonal nature of the position to include 5 days per week 37.5 hours per week
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

- Note: This is a seasonal fulltime position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2026.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- All employees must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult child and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross American Heart Association or equivalent within 60 days of employment.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police clearance PA Child Abuse history clearance and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
