Job Description

TheHansen Elementary Schoolis seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as thePrincipalfor the upcoming school year beginning inJuly 2025. TheHansen Elementary Schoolis an inclusive community for all students and staff and serve over500students in gradesK5. TheHansen Elementary Schoolis elevating the educational experience for our students by cultivating a school culture and climate that promotes academic growth and social emotional learning for every student and ensures high quality teaching and learning through the purposeful design of rigorous and equitable student experiences.

We are eager to find the next member of our team who collaborates with other educators to create the conditions necessary so that every child experiences the true joy of learning the excitement of achievement areas of passion and an authentic sense of belonging in their school.

JOB SUMMARY

A dynamic and innovative educational leader who possesses a compelling vision for the future of the school a strong ability to lead collaborate and inspire the faculty staff and students and an unwavering commitment to excellence equity and inclusion. The principal will lead and manage a highly effective and respected school as a professional learning community characterized by common purpose collaborative activity and collective responsibility. Responsible for providing instructional leadership to a school community that prides itself on educational excellence and equity through the development and implementation of strong and innovative curricular programs the planning and provision of highquality professional development and the development and maintenance of a budget that is fiscally responsible and supports the districts core values mission and vision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A Masters degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in educational administration. Graduate work beyond the masters degree preferred
  2. A valid principals license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
  3. Experience in teaching totaling at least five 5 years.
  4. Ability to work as a member of a highly functioning team
  5. A proven ability to relate to a variety of constituencies including but not limited to administrators parents teachers school committee members other school staff human service and governmental agencies.
  6. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  7. Wellorganized with excellent leadership abilities
  8. Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
  9. Working knowledge of relevant technologies: internet and email systems; word processing presentation and spreadsheet software; and educational software
  10. Employmentbased on successful completion of CORI and fingerprinting background
  11. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the school department may find appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools

SUPERVISES: Building Principal is responsible for the performance of all staff

WORK YEAR:215 days

COMPENSATION: Range $125000 $135000
