Position Summary

Picking sales orders by accurately identifying and pulling materials and delivering them to the requested destination.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Picking parts of various size shape and weight according to sales orders
• Placing parts carefully in kits to avoid damage.
• Delivering part orders to the requested packaging area.
• Meeting expectations for number and accuracy of sales orders picked.
• May be required to use material handling equipment forklift standupforklift Big Joe following all safety rules.
• Maintaining safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves pallet area and workstations neat and complying with procedures rules and regulations.
• Reading and maintaining information in the inventory system ensuring accurate records.
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifukus QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience operating forklift equipment a plus
• Experience with inventory a plus

ADA Requirements:

• Medium work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Standing: Remaining upright on the feet particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
• Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position toposition. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
• Fingering: Picking pinching typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
• Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately loudly or quickly.
• Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
• Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and/or fingers.

Visual Acuity:

• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
• The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
• The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.

Job Conditions:

• The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
