Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Policy and ML Governance Leader to join our Data Science team in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing enforcing and maintaining consistent endtoend standards for model development and deployment as well for data policy . This role is critical for ensuring the responsible and compliant use of data throughout the entire lifecycle of data solutions and client model development with engagements
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data solutions ensuring compliance with established Data policies and internal Model Risk Management Frameworks (from development to monitoring). Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to establish model governance goals and objectives.
- Monitor and enforce model governance policies procedures and performance metrics.
- Develop and deliver training programs on data policy and model risk management as part of the data steward responsibilities.
- Provide guidance and support to model owners and stakeholders across VCA
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure model integrity and compliance.
- In partnership with data scientists drives compliance of the Model Risk management governance data assets and policies
- Connect policies to common data analytics performed by VCA and develop compliance checklists and toolkits within Data Science and Consulting teams across the Region
- Manage model governance tools and technologies.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in model governance.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD OR 11 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Technical Expertise
8 years of experience with a Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or a related field.
Proven experience in model risk management
Experience in overseeing the lifecycle of machine learning solutions from data acquisition to deployment and monitoring.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.

Strong decisionmaking skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.
