Job Description
Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individualhouseholds to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. governmentimposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
Kuiper IT & Digital Operation team is looking to hire a Software Development engineer. This is a fastpaced intellectually challenging position and will work with leaders in multiple technology areas. Have relentlessly high standards for yourself and everyone you work with and be constantly looking for ways to improve your products performance quality and cost. We want individuals who are ready for this challenge and want to reach beyond what is possible today.
Key job responsibilities
Work with Export and Kuiper Security to deliver IAM requirements
Build device vend and rotation services
Build RBAC and ABAC services
Develop cloud native software systems in Python
Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highlyavailable software services.
Design and develop performant systems that meet the mission criteria and requirements.
Help onboard and mentor new team members.

1 years of noninternship professional software development experience
1 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
