Position Summary

This is Hybrid position and office days are Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays. In this role as a COBRA Analyst you will:

  • Perform COBRA administration requirements as your primary responsibilities.
  • Verify COBRA and retiree enrollment status maintain eligibility databases and process elections terminations and reinstatements in accordance with plan sponsor direction and regulatory guidelines.
  • Address COBRArelated eligibility questions or concerns and make changes to member or client records accordingly.
  • Coordinate updates to client records including rate or plan structure changes and ensure accurate downstream system integration.
  • Utilize and interpret proprietary systems and online resources; understand account structures COBRA contracts and benefit parameters to address eligibility matters.
  • Ensure all communications involving sensitive member data adhere to HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Act as the liaison between clients vendors and the IT department to define business requirements and identify solutions for nonstandard arrangements.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues before they impact service and approach complex problems with innovative thinking.


Required Qualifications

  • 1 year work experience with COBRA regulations and guidelines
  • 1 year of data entry experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which demonstrate the ability to interact courteously and effectively with both internal and external customers; skills include listening and comprehension constructive feedback spelling grammar proofreading and telephone communication
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems and create improvements
  • Understands intent/end state and operates with minimal guidance to meet that intent/end state
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Ability to manage high work volume and oversee a variety of incoming workflows
  • A team player capable of operating independently when needed
  • Deliver accurate and timely results
  • Follows up as needed to effectively resolve an issue


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Word Excel Outlook


Education

  • High School diploma G.E.D. or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$17.00 $31.30

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
