Duties and Role:
Specific duties for this post:
- Perform service continuity improvement tasks on the NATO voice & VTC infrastructures;
- Support innovation efforts related to voice and video conferencing technology;
- Work with the project management team and provides technical support to projects to enhance and improve the existing infrastructure and services;
- Plan test and carry out routine configuration and maintenance operations within the voice and VTC domains;
- Be prepared to support maintenance activities and infrastructure deployments during out of business hours;
- Coordinate and raise CRQs (change requests) and ASIs (authorised service interruptions) when needed;
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (configuration baselines engineering reports network diagrams etc. and provide training for other team members on new technologies and features;
- Mentor and/or coach team members on new voice and VTC technologies or features;
- Investigate and propose longterm solutions to encountered equipment and configuration problems;
- Provide third level support to the operations team for both static and deployable voice and video conference infrastructures when needed;
- Deputize for highergrade staff if required.

RequirementsSkill Knowledge & Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years postrelated experience.
- Or exceptionally the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidates particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency that is at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
- At least 2 years experience designing implementing managing and optimizing collaboration tools and platforms within a digital ecosystem of an organization.
- Experience deploying communication and collaboration software (such as video conferencing systems team messaging applications and document sharing platforms).
- Proven experience in the configuration and operation of Voice and VTC core systems and end devices.
- Proven experience in deployment and configuration of security features in the voice and VTC domains (TLS PKI IPSec etc..
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to resolving QoS and technical issues in complex IP networks.
- Excellent knowledge of SIP H.323 and PSTN signalling protocols.
- Good working knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Experience providing end users support.
- Certified ITIL Foundation
Education Experience and Training (Desirable):
- Experience with collaboration solutions from major vendors like Cisco Poly and Pexip.
- Qualification of Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP Collaboration).
- Experience with monitoring platforms and protocols such as CASpectrum nGenius One SNMPv3 Syslog etc.
- Scripting experience ideally in Python and experience using regular expressions.
- Experience with cloudbased collaboration solutions like Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex.
- Ability to navigate influence and negotiate with all levels of the organization business partners customers and users.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to be concise in both written and verbal communications.
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization including Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation.
