Job Description
About the Role:
As a Value Stream Intern you will play a crucial role in optimizing our global supply network by creating supply value stream maps. You will focus on driving value reducing waste enhancing transparency to demand signals and reducing lead times with focus on total cost of fulfillment.
What youll do:
- Create supply value stream maps to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather data and insights for mapping processes.
- Analyze value stream maps to identify areas for waste reduction and process optimization.
- Develop strategies to streamline supply chain processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Implement solutions to enhance transparency to demand signals and reduce lead times.
- Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
What youll need:
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management Operations Management Business Administration or related field.
- Understanding of Value Stream Mapping methods and principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Visio and other data analysis or value stream mapping tools.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies.
Bonus points for:
- Previous internship or coursework related to supply chain management.
- Familiarity with value stream mapping or process optimization methodologies.
- Familiarity of ERP systems and supply chain software.
- Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
