Job Description
Qualifications:Appropriate Nursing License from Missouri State Board of Nursing; Registered Nurse preferred.
Reports to:BuildingPrincipal.
Goal:Tocreate and promote a climate of health and wellness.
- Conduct school health services including exams and assessments.
- Report to parents/guardians personnel physiciansand other agencies on school medical matters.
- Work cooperatively with countyHealth Department andotheragencies as needed.
- Maintain current health records for student/staff including immunizations.
- In the absence of a physician assume medical careof studentsor staff.
- Participate in and act as resource for allschool wellness.
- Contact family of studentsreferred by the Principal.
- Document accidents/incidents and services.
- Keep a daily log of activities.
- Authorize exclusion and readmission of students in compliancewith policy on infectious and contagiousdiseases.
- Execute all policies rules and regulations adoptedby the Board.
- Promote positiverelations between the District Board and community.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Terms of employment:Contact to be established by the Board Generally 182 days.
Evaluation: Annual by the by the Principalin accordance with policy.
A criminal fingerprint/background clearance is required.
