Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains sits one of the oldest community colleges in Colorado Arapahoe Community College. The Year to Career Coordinator supports the overall operations of the Year to Career program which is focused on training students in prenursing behavioral health neurodiagnostic technology and information technology. In addition to program completion our success is measured by students securing livingwage employment. Key responsibilities of this role is building strong relationships with regional employers to create meaningful learning experiences for students and support posttraining employment opportunities. The Year to Career Coordinator will work directly with students the college and programs outside of the organization to ensure student success. The position also includes supporting data collection and quarterly reporting refining internal processes and adapting to the evolving needs of this new and growing program.
This is a limited grantfunded position through February 28 2027. Continuation of the position is contingent upon continued funding.
Bachelorsdegreeor an equivalent combination of education andrelevantexperience.An equivalency willnot count towards thetwo yearexperience requirement below.
Two years of related experience.
Experience building relationships and engagement with industry or employer partner to support programmatic goals.
Experience supporting the development of apprenticeship programs or other workbased learning opportunities with employers.
Ability to interact and develop relationships with individuals of varying social cultural economic and educational backgrounds.
Strong collaboration problemsolving interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Experience with database entry.
Proficiencyin basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel; ability to navigate digital tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in business administration higher education administration education humanservicesor related field.
Knowledge of workforce center and other USDOL database systems.
Experience working at a community college.
Experienceestablishingemployment partnerships that lead to job placement opportunities for students.
Experience with prior learning assessments.
Experience with federally grantfunded programs.
