About the Role:
A servant leader and coach for an Agile team who:
- facilitates team events and processes and supports teams and ARTs in meeting their
delivery goals and in delivering value. - educates the team in Scrum BuiltinQuality Kanban and SAFe and ensure that the
agreed Agile processes are followed. - helps remove impediments and foster an environment for highperforming team
dynamics continuous flow and relentless improvement.
Responsibilities:
Planning coordination and delivery
- Their primary responsibilities include creating and/or maintaining comprehensive project plans
to ensure the timely and costeffective completion of projects. They collaborate closely with
functional leads to efficiently allocate resources manage stakeholder expectations and mitigate
risks throughout the entire project lifecycle. - Work with the RTE of the ART and lead the teams on the implementation and optimization for
the SAFe methodology within the teams and ART. - Ensure the quality and timeliness of
deliverables in the team by identifying and managing dependencies and risks between your
teams and other teams. Ensure your teams are briefed on upcoming Features by Product
Owners Product managers Business owners and other stakeholders to prepare for the PI
planning. Manages and optimizes the flow of value within your teams using a variety of tools
and methods eliminating bottlenecks delays and waste. - Support the RTE in the of
Planning increments (PIs). Ensure backlogs are complete relevant and in alignment with
strategic objectives and follows DoR and DoD standards. Ensure the teams work aligns with
the broader objectives of the ART and the organization.
Facilitation & coaching
- Facilitates and drives team ceremonies like backlog refinement sprint planning team sync
reviews and retrospectives. Support the RTE with facilitating PI planning PO sync coach sync
ART sync system demos and inspect and adapt sessions. - Measure and improve the teams
performance (maturity) through clearly defined metrics Coach/advise management and team
members in LeanAgile practices mindset and Coach and support the team in
applying the agile way of working (Scrum KanBan) that fits best with the type of work they
have. Coach and support your teams in becoming high performing. - They uphold their teams to stringent quality standards and cultivating a collaborative team
environment that encourages open communication and cooperation. They provide leadership
and may mentor their team members. They actively drive continuous improvement initiatives to
enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Communication and collaboration - Serve as the primary point of contact for all ART stakeholders. Support the PO in managing the
product backlog ensuring that it reflects the teams priorities and commitments Foster
collaboration between the team and the RTE ensuring that team progress and challenges are
communicated effectively. Identify and resolve conflicts that impede the teams progress.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating regular retrospectives and
implementing feedback. Communicate the vision goals and progress to the team ensuring they
understand how their work contributes to the overall success.
Leadership
- Act as a mediator and coach helping the team members find constructive solutions to
disagreements. Hold the team accountable for their commitments and help them deliver high
quality work on time by fostering a culture of responsibility and ownership. Develop and
maintain a high level of team morale and cohesion. Drive an empower the team selforganize
and selfmanage.
Job Qualifications Education
- 10 years of experience in IT industry with 5 years of strong experience as Scrum
leader in a SAFe environment or similar role within an agile environment. Strong
understanding of SAFe principles and practices.
Technical awareness with good domain knowledge
Good facilitation coaching and mentoring skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge in Agile tools and metrics tracking.
An understanding of the phases of software delivery (SDLC)
Ability to motivate teams
Ability to think beyond daytoday activities and apply system thinking An agile mindset
Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards tools and best
practices
