Scope of Position:
As an Associate Field Engineer you will be crucial to ALCs business through the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for a team member who is selfmotivated detail oriented and is customer focused. This position is your first introduction into the career of a Field Engineer. You will begin to complete assignments using troubleshooting skills projects will advance in difficultly to develop your skills. The ideal candidate will be a 2023 or 2024 graduate of a Technical Trade school or High School with a focus in HVAC Controls or related field.
As a new Associate Field Engineer you will be a part of our FastTrack Field Technician Program. This includes a 2 week paid trip to Atlanta Georgia where we will teach you everything you need to perform your new role with excellence. There will also be a number of fun team building activities during the connecting weekend to participate in. The start date of this program will be July 2025
Role Responsibilities:
- Initiate install troubleshoot and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
- Offer effective solutions for system issues.
- Provide turnkey project delivery on small to midlevel projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly to include controls sensors and software.
- Load software configure trends alarms and reports.
- Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.
- Provide sitespecific training to owners/operators on the complete system.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
- Valid and current Drivers License and can be insurable by the companys insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC Controls or related field.
- Interest in Building Automation HVAC controls or related field.
- Interest in building automation software such as WebCTRL and installing building automation controls.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Working Knowledge with Microsoft 365 applications.
