Job Description
English Language Education Teachers (ESL or grade level Teacher Certification Required
Dates: July 7 2025 July 24 2025.
Time: Monday Thursday 9 am12 pm with students plus 1 hour of prep time a day
Location: Mindess Elementary School
Number of Positions: 3 (Final number to be determined based on registrations)
Grades:
Rising 1st 5th grade. Students will be divided into 2 gradelevel clusters.
Rising 6th 9th. be able to select four 1hour time slots.
Please state your grade level preference in your letter of interest.
Responsibilities:
- Provide meaningful daily instruction to students at various English proficiency levels incorporating gradelevel content and the WIDA Standard for ELs.
- Create a warm inclusive and languagerich classroom environment
- Communicate with parents
- Assist during the arrival and dismissal of students
- Work with student volunteers
Qualifications:
- Teacher Certification (ESL Certification preferred)
- Demonstrate high expectations for English Learners
- Ability to effectively work with linguistically diverse families
- Must be available on all of the program dates without any prior scheduled commitments
Languages: Proficiency in English and fluency in a language other than English is preferred but not required.
Anticipated Salary:
(The number of positions needed is contingent upon student enrollment; teaching positions will be given to those with certification)
$43.26 per hour for English Language Education Teacher
