Job Description

LEOMINSTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Leominster High School

Dean of Students

Leominster High School is seeking a Dean of Students for a permanent position starting in
September2025. LHS Deans are responsible for among other things student discipline
attendance review and enforcement implementing safety procedures and supervision of
students in a variety of settings. Deans are part of the School Safety Team and the Student
Support Team. The position is in the LEA Teachers Union contract.


Leominster High School serves over 1800 students in a growing and diverse community that
includes a comprehensive and vocational school.

Minimum Qualifications:


B.S./B.A. with a strong GPA in relevant coursework
Current certification or qualified to obtain Massachusetts Certification grades 912 in any
subject area
Ability to help develop student executive functioning skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to include the ability to work with
families and outside agencies.
Strong planning and collaboration skills.
Skills in deescalation strategies conflict resolution and behavior management
Experience with diverse student populations preferred.
SEI Endorsement preferred
