About the Role

As Supervisor Financial Tools and Reporting you will lead a team responsible for longterm financial analysis reserve management capital analysis and reporting and yearend financial coordination.

Your role will be critical in analyzing and monitoring financial data spotting emerging challenges and recommending innovative solutions to support strategic decisionmaking by senior management.

What You Will Do

• Review and prepare Council reports; provide expert advice to senior management on financial sustainability and risk issues.
• Coordinate complex budget timelines data analysis and financial reporting to ensure effective financial controls.
• Supervise and guide staff in analyzing complex financial and business issues to support strategic priorities.
• Develop insights into broader economic and financial trends affecting longterm regional sustainability.
• Interpret and advise on the Financial Management Bylaw and related corporate financial policies.
• Allocate and supervise routine and adhoc financial projects across the team.
• Oversee the yearend inventory processes and ensure smooth departmental audits on capital project financial controls.
• Prepare insightful monthly and adhoc financial reports that inform leadership decisionmaking across departments.

What You Bring

• A degree in Finance Accounting or a related field coupled with a recognized professional accounting designation (CA CGA CMA ACCA).
• At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience preferably in a municipal or public sector environment.
• A strong understanding of municipal finance practices longterm financial modeling reserve management and capital budget reporting.
• Expertise in generally accepted accounting principles and public sector accounting standards.
• Exceptional skills in financial analysis strategic thinking and complex problem solving.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and effectively to senior leadership.

In this role youll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful inperson connection. A minimum of two days per week onsite is expected with additional inperson presence as operational needs evolve.
