The AOC is seeking one Red Hat Linux Administrator. The Red Hat Linux Administrator will manage and optimize AOCs Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The resource will be responsible for ensuring system stability security and performance while supporting a range of enterprise applications. This role requires advanced expertise in Linux administration automation troubleshooting and security best practices
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing configuring and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development testing and production environments.
- Performing system upgrades patch management and security hardening to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Implementing automation scripts using Ansible Bash or Python to streamline system administration tasks.
- Configuring and maintaining Red Hat Satellite Identity Management (IdM) and other Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ecosystem tools.
- Collaborating with security teams to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities and comply with security policies.
- Maintaining and optimizing storage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Supporting application teams by providing guidance on best practices for Linuxbased deployments
- Maintaining documentation for system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- Participating in oncall support and incident resolution activities as required.
- Setup Network File Server (NFS) and mount points.
- Configuring Chron jobs for both systems and applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fifteen 15 or more years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field.
- Ten 10 or more years of experience as a Red Hat system administrator.
- Ten 10 or more years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
- Experience:
- Working in a complex networked system environment with strong networking
- Adminstering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems
- Administering systems including but not limited to the applications below:
- Oracle WebLogic Servers
- Oracle Database Servers
- Progress 4GL/Database Servers/OpenEdge
- Apache Web Servers
- vSphere hosted RHEL Servers
- Rubrik backup systems
- Oracle Database backups
- PeopleSoft
- Mobius
- Elastic Search
- Oracle OBI
- CVS (Concurrent Version System)
- Red Hat performance tuning
- Load balancing partitioning backup/recovery and disaster recovery

Educational Requirement: Bachelors degree or postgraduate degree in engineering computer science or related field (as determined by the AOC).
