The North Plainfield School District a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3700 students PreK through grade 12 seeks a dynamic enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of Anticipated Middle School Science Teacher at North Plainfield Middle School.

For those still in the process of attaining certification please know that the North Plainfield District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirement.
Qualifications Include:

Science subject specific certification or K6 Certificate with 58 Science Endorsement required.
Middle School teaching experience preferred.
Bilingual candidates preferred.
Experience with OpenSciEd curriculum a plus.

The ideal candidate:
Has experience teaching middle school science. has an understanding of pedagogical best practices with an ongoing desire for professional development and growth.
Has a strong working knowledge of the NJ Student Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards selects instructional strategies that actively engage students in phenomenonbased and inquirydriven learning continuously monitors the social and emotional needs of students and implements relevant strategies into daily lessons will be an enthusiastic and collaborative member of school gradelevel and content area Professional Learning Communities

Salary: $66765 (minimum) to $99470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
Benefits as per contract: Medical dental flexible spending tuition reimbursement paid time off professional development mentoring.
