JOB SUMMARY

Kennedy Catholic is seeking a dynamic and selfdirected educator to teach five sections of

courses within the Theology Department. Key responsibilities include instruction and

curriculum development assessment classroom management and parent communication;

collaboration with colleagues to ensure quality and consistency of overall program; willing

participation in the cocurricular and ministerial life of the school; mentorship for student

engagement; and fulfillment of all additional supervision duties expected of fulltime

teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Theology Religious or Pastoral Studies or related field

required

Masters degree or higher preferred

Familiarity with educational technology

Recent classroom experience; preferably in a high school setting

An active Catholic in good standing with the Church

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess the skills and abilities to:

Work with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning abilities

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

Effectively utilize educational technology to enhance the learning of students

Use data to inform instructional practices

Work collaboratively within the department on curriculum and assessments2

Be flexible and resourceful

Be organized and an effective communicator with all members of the school

community

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges

market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and

certifications. Salary is dependent upon experience certification and education

according to Kennedy Catholics faculty compensation schedule. For the

school year a teachers salary ranges between $55962 and $106217.

A comprehensive package of benefits is offered including two medical plan options

dental vision life and accidental death and disability longterm disability pension

403(b) HSA FSA and generous sick leave vacation and holidays.

Inbuilding child/dependent tuition support

Opportunities to participate/assist with a wide array of cocurricular programs
