Job Description

Overview

i3 is seeking a Test Engineer to support a unique and complex Army engineering effort located in Huntsville Alabama. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing highlevel technical and engineering support and leadership. The position involves collaborating with civilian government personnel and a diverse team of engineering professionals to ensure project goals and timelines are achieved. The candidate can expect up to 25 travel.

Responsibilities

  • Supports test planning coordination development of detailed test plans test reports quicklook briefings test readiness reviews and resource allocation management for test events.
  • Supports hardware installation at customer sites as required.
  • Evaluate new and existing processes equipment and materials as an input for scheduling methods performance metrics and financial standards.
  • Create work instructions and routers for manufacturing activities detailing the required operations necessary for product realization.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical electrical and build issues.
  • Support engineering efforts in preparation for Design Reviews
  • Assist in the management and organization of government furnished equipment (GFE).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in an applicable engineering area (mechanical aerospace manufacturing and engineering technology etc. Additional/Relevant experience may substitute for degree.
  • 612 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Ability to travel to suppliers and hardware installation sites as required.
  • U. S. Citizenship is required.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. MondayFriday however additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
