Site Business OR Functional Area Overview

Working at our Jacksonville Facility
The GE Aerospace site in Jacksonville is unique. We manufacture electronic
component parts in addition to having a Repair & Overhaul shop for GE Engines. Our
climatecontrolled site embraces diversity and career advancement. We have 9 active
employee resource groups.

Role Overview

The FrontLine Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee and manage frontline manufacturing employees typically managing hourly employee populations. This onsite role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing area.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage frontline manufacturing employees ensuring efficient operations.
  • Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline potentially including support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in a broad area.
  • Apply general business knowledge developed through education or past experience to understand how the teams work contributes to the area.
  • Resolve issues using established procedures consulting supervisors or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborate with others to solve issues and develop strong customer relationships for customerfacing roles serving as the interface between customers and GE.
  • Exchange technical information ask questions and check for understanding to ensure effective communication and problemsolving.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong communication skills capable of managing and motivating frontline manufacturing employees. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are dedicated to ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document plan market and execute programs.

  • Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America)
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Primary Location: Jacksonville FL US
  • Background Check: All candidates will undergo a background check.
  • Drug Screening: Preemployment drug screening is required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform tasks related to manufacturing supervision and employee management.
  • Work Environment: This role requires working in an industrial setting with exposure to manufacturing conditions.
