Duties And Responsibilities
The Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship invites applications for a tenuretrack position to join the colleges Management Option. We seek candidates who excel in creating engaging stateoftheart learning experiences for our students which includes students from many backgrounds. The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses in the Management area carrying a load of five sections per academic year. In addition candidates are expected to publish in high quality journals. The current cohort of management tenure track faculty have published in journals such as Organization Studies Journal of Business Venturing Strategic Management Journal Organization & Environment Research in Organizational Behavior Gender Work & Organization and others. The Management program offers a curriculum that challenges students to think critically holistically and creatively; develop actionable management skills to make a positive difference inside and outside of the workplace; and lead emerging trends in business such as entrepreneurship innovation leadership and sustainability. Therefore a successful candidate must be able to teach a variety of management courses and topics at the undergraduate level and possibly as part of the colleges new Master of Science in Innovation and Management program. Candidates with experience interests and scholarship in entrepreneurship innovation strategy and creativity are particularly encouraged to apply. The Jabs College values both outstanding research and teaching. The new faculty member will teach required and elective courses in the undergraduate business major with specialty emphasis in management and graduate courses supporting the M.S. in Innovation and Management program advise students conduct scholarly research and provide college and university service and engagement. A normal teaching load is 15 credit hours per year.
