Compensation: SPS Contracted Hourly Rate
Job Description & Program Goal:
The 21C Internship aims to provide high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in the education field with a full time summer internship. This internship allows students to gain valuable experience while offering additional support to students at 21st CCLC summer sites.
21C Internship Coordinator Commitment: The 21C internship is a 5week summer program from July 7th August 8th 2025. Coordinator will also be responsible for facilitating summer internship orientation in June. This role is about 810 hours weekly over the duration of the 5 weeks.
The internship coordinator will support the following:
- Summer Internship Orientation during the month of June 23 hours)
- Support in the intern hiring / onboarding process starting in June including student work permits 45 hours)
- Facilitate 5Summer Weekly Workshops 11.5 hour workshops)
- Conduct weekly site observations using an observation tool 23 hours a week)
- Conduct intern coaching cycles as needed
- Weekly checkin with program site coordinators and programs
- Support in Facilitating the End of Program celebration/certification process
- Monitor and process biweekly timesheets.
- Other duties as assigned to support internship and student success.
Preferred Candidates:
- SPS Staff with experience working with high school students/interns
- Familiar with WBL Practices and facilitation
- Experience working with young people

Elementary Program:
Location: Saltonstall School
Dates/Days: Monday July 7th Friday August 8th *Site runs MondayFriday
Time: 8:004:00 pm
Middle School Program:
Location: Salem High School
Dates/Days: Monday July 7th Thursday August 8th *Site runs Monday Thursday
Time: 8:002:30 pm
