Job Description

Job Title: Business Operations Warehouse Supervisor


Reports to: Director of Purchasing Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Dept. School: 975 Pay Grade: 3
Supervises: Direct reports and staff Days: 227


Primary Purpose: Manage the daily operations in the Print Shop Mailroom Central Receiving and Records Management areas.


Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor of Business or equivalent undergraduate degree

Special Knowledge Skills:
Customer service driven team leader of nonprofessional staff.
Positive communication public relations and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use personal computer and applicable software effectively and efficiently.
Ability to interpret and analyze data implement efficiencies develop department budget.
Ability to implement policy and procedures and coordinate district functions.
Knowledge of the processes equipment and safety required in the departments.

Experience:
Successful supervisory experience.
Computer and production experience.
Other qualifications as deemed appropriate.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide a safe and efficient work environment for all staff in the print mail central receiving and records management departments by continuously reinforcing safe work habits and keeping all areas clean and clear of debris.
Perform administrative duties as necessary. Analyze supplies needed submit requisitions for outside vendors school store maintenance requests etc. through financial software.
Maintain necessary inventory of various papers and cardstock and envelopes located in the School Store Warehouse for use during printing or sold to campuses/departments.
Ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
Perform typesetting duties as needed for personalized forms and envelopes.
Ensure that all print shop jobs are performed accurately and delivered timely.
Coordinate special print and or mail projects to meet the ECISD customer needs.
Ensure that all print orders are billed correctly and are charged to the departments/campuses by reviewing and entering charges on a spreadsheet which is sent to accounting at month end.
Oversight of all Central Receiving Warehouse freight received processed delivered and mailed.
Oversee all campus/department mail carrier routes.
Ensure renewals of district P.O. Box and mailing permits obtained from the USPS.
Coordinate and oversee the forklift safety training classes that are recommended for all school employees who operate a forklift in the district.
Oversee Records Management functions for compliancy and ensure training is provided to district.
Perform all other duties assigned.

Policy Reports and Law
Implement applicable policies established by federal and state law and local board policy.
Compile maintain and file all physical and computerized reports records and other documents required.


Personnel Management
Supervise employee and handle personnel issues.
Develop training options and/or improvement plans to ensure exemplary operations.
Evaluate job performance regularly of employees to ensure effectiveness.
Train and crosstrain and supervise personnel. Make sound recommendations relative to personnel placement assignment retention discipline and dismissal.
Oversee employee work hours and make adjustments/corrections as needed in the Kronos timekeeping system.
Prepare review and revise job descriptions.


Supervisory Responsibilities: All staff in the print mail central receiving and records departments.


Working Conditions: Physical movement in and out of airconditioned spaces.


Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress.
Frequent districtwide and occasional statewide travel.
Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
