You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailHigh School diploma or GED required. Successful completion of all IDX classes is required. Two 2 years experience as a medical assistant preferred. Currently certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcare Association (NHA) required. If certified by another accrediting agency AAMA or NHA certification must be obtained within six 6 months of employment. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification may be required or must be obtained within thirty 30 days of employment depending on assignment.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $15.50 $23.55 / hour

Job Description:
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures to accurately and efficiently answer and triage telephone calls received from patients their caregiver relatives and other health care team members. To coordinate patient appointment scheduling for the Kirklin Clinic. To coordinate with master schedulers and providers for appointment management and communicate with clinical staff for coordination of schedule and patient needs. To routinely review schedules for appointment availability and employ processes to maximize patient access potential such as appointment reminders wait lists and timely coordination of patient cancellations. To coordinate patient care with outside agencies as needed for referrals and appointment scheduling. To consistently demonstrate outstanding customer service to patients visitors providers and staff.
