The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to provide parttime IT helpdesk and operational support for our London office. This role ensures smooth IT operations by addressing user issues maintaining systems and supporting daily IT activities. The ideal candidate will be highly organised customerfocused and skilled in troubleshooting a variety of IT challenges.
Responsibilities:
Helpdesk Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for ITrelated issues and queries.
- Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve hardware software and network issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate teams when necessary.
Daily IT Operations:
- Install configure and maintain IT equipment including desktops laptops printers and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts permissions and email configurations.
- Monitor and ensure network connectivity and system performance in the office.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of IT incidents and resolutions.
- Provide updates and reports to the India IT Manager on ongoing issues and tasks.
User Training and Support:
- Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up IT systems and conducting basic training.
- Provide guidance to users on best practices for IT security and system usage.
IT Infrastructure Maintenance:
- Coordinate with the global IT team to ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
- Support periodic updates patches and system upgrades.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in IT Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience in IT Support or similar role.
- Familiarity with Windows macOS and Google workspace environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware software and network issues.
- Basic understanding of IT Security best practices.
- Knowledge of Active Directory network configurations and email systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in the UK.
