Job Description
Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 712 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses both offering PrePrep to Year 6 at Annandale and North Shore.
Townsville Grammar School is a coeducational nondenominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1300 students including 120 boarders 712 of whom approximately 25 are international students.
As one of the eight original Grammar schools in Queensland Townsville Grammar School was established in 1888 and has offered boarding since this time. The School has a longstanding reputation as the leading academic school in Northern Queensland also offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12.
We are seeking an experienced Teacher to teach Junior Science (Year 7 to 10 and Senior Biology on a contract basis for Semester 2 2025 at our North Ward campus. This is a great opportunity for a teacher dedicated to academic excellence to teach at North Queenslands most prestigious school. A relevant teaching qualification QCT Registration and previous experience teaching Junior Science and Senior Biology is mandatory.

- Have the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to a variety of learning styles and student needs.

- Have demonstrated competence in classroom management.
- Be committed to the aims and ethos of independent Schools and be willing to participate in the cocurricular and pastoral life of the School.
