Responsibilities
- Manage patient care to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidencebased care planning approach.
- Provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership
- Be responsible for the coordination assessment planning delivery and review of service user care by all staff in designated area
- Exercise authority in the running of the assigned area(s) as deputised by the scheduled care Assistant Director of Nursing.
- Manage communication about the role of best practice in the triage of referrals
Requirements
- To be considered for this position candidates must be registered on the general division of the register of nurses maintained by NMBI
- At least 1 year of postregistration experience in the specialty.
- A recognized qualification within the specialty is desirable as well as a minimum of 1 year of management experience and completion of a management training program.
- ACLS certification is also desirable.
- In addition to these qualifications candidates must demonstrate proven clinical and professional ability possess strong IT skills and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and engage positively with patients and staff is essential. Candidates should also be enthusiastic and highly motivated.
- The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise leadership experience and strong communication skills to excel in this role.
