Job Description
With over 25 years in business Occupli is a leading provider of health and safety recruitment consultancy and environmental solutions in Ireland. Occupli has been Putting Safety to Work for over two decades.
Occupli are recruiting a Safety Advisor for our client in the Utilities industry in Co. Dublin with travel involved to cover sites Nationally and Dublin regions.
This is an initial 12month contract with potential extension.
Responsibilities:
- Complete safety and quality audits on contractors as per the agreed format and ensure items identified are documented
- Proactively work with the client team and managers to ensure the required processes and procedures are in place to enable the team to operate effectively
- Input into or lead investigations into contractor incidents Provide expert advice and support on safety management
- Develop and build strong business relations with internal and external stakeholders Serve as best practice/quality resource within own discipline or as technical expert on functional or crossfunctional teams or projects
- Guide others in resolving complex issues in specialized areas Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practice
- Provide excellent customer service
- Risk Assessment and Management: They help in conducting risk assessments and developing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) for various projects. This involves identifying potential hazards implementing control measures and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: Incident reporting/investigation support only report/investigation support for reporting incidents.
- Compliance Monitoring: Auditing support a line manager.
- Documentation and Reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: assist the safety team to identify opportunities for improving safety performance and implement initiatives to enhance the safety culture.
Requirements
Qualifications include:
- Health & Safety Degree (H&S) Level 8 at a minimum is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years proven experience working in a Safety Advisor role in the construction industry
- PSCS PSDP and Traffic Management experience is an advantage.
