Job Summary: The Directress Assistant will act as a crucial support for the Directress ensuring that the school runs efficiently and effectively.
The company is seeking to hire a detailoriented Directress Assistant who will assist the Directress with the daytoday activities of the classroom and ensure that the Montessori philosophy is practiced and enhanced at all times. S/he will often be involved in managing schedules coordinating events handling communication and ensuring smooth daytoday operations of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the Directresss schedule including appointments meetings and travel arrangements.
Preparing reports presentations and other documents as needed.
Maintaining school records and databases.
Managing correspondence and communication both internally and externally.
Organizing school events including parent meetings graduations and other special occasions.
Coordinating with vendors and other stakeholders for events.
Serving as a primary point of contact for staff parents and visitors.
Communicating information to staff and parents regarding school activities and events.
Maintaining open communication with the Directress.
Managing school supplies and equipment.
Arranging for substitute teachers when needed.
Ensuring the school environment is safe and functional.
Providing support to staff members including teachers and other administrative personnel.
Participating in school committees and meetings.
Assisting with other administrative tasks as assigned by the Directress.
Bachelor s degree in education or early childhood development
Montessori Certification First Aid certified or any relevant certifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a very similar role within a Montessori/preschool setting
Knowledge of Childcare and policy and procedures standards in a Montessori/preschool setting
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
