The Critical Tasks You will Perform:
- Develop implement and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with applicable local regulations including but not limited to lending services regulations antimoney laundering (AML) counterterrorism financing (CTF) and data protection laws.
- Keep abreast on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure our compliance posture remains current and effective. Conduct regular reviews of the compliance framework to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Provide comprehensive regulatory compliance advice to the business on all compliance matters relevant to the licensed entity including supporting license application when required.
- Collaborate with legal and business teams to review and approve new products services and marketing materials for regulatory compliance when required.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies including submissions of regulatory reports responding to inquiries and facilitating regulatory examinations.
- Perform the role of Assistant Money Laundering (AML) Reporting Officer for the business which will entail overseeing the Customer onboarding process and AML transaction monitoring process filing of suspicious transaction reports and conducting regular AML training
- Investigate compliance breaches develop remediation plans and report findings to senior management and relevant authorities as required.
- Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and the board of directors highlighting key risks trends and mitigation strategies.
- Support audit / inspections when required.
Qualifications :
The musthaves:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in regulatory compliance / legal / internal audit in a financial institution. Qualified candidates with experience working for a financial regulator will be prioritized for assessment;
- Constructive attitude and a demonstrated willingness to get hands dirty to effectively solve problems;
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated hunger to grow and flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fastmoving business environment;
