This position is for theschool year. Salary is based on the adopted salary schedule for the 2425 school year at this time (starting salary $44200. We accept all previous years in certificated teaching roles as steps on the salary schedule. New teachers mentor program available for all first and second year teachers.
Must hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate inEarly Childhood Special Education (B3. Certificated teaching experience in early childhood and/or early grades is preferred.
Woodland Early Childhood Center has students ages 35 that qualify under special education or title one criteria. Students participate in a half day session AM or PM Monday through Thursday with Fridays available for testing IEP meetings and collaboration. Classrooms have paraprofessional support also.

Purpose Statement
The job of Teacher is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as ateacher with specific responsibility for developing student success in academics (e.g. reading writinglanguage math etc. or skills (e.g. art music physical education etc. supervising students within theclassroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans strategies and delivering group and individualstudent instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with teachers other professionalstaff and administrators to meet the needs of students; and maintaining open communication with parents orguardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.

Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; directing
other persons within a small work unit; monitoring budget expenditures. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the jobs functions. There is some opportunity to effect the organizations services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional
lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling significant stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling and significant fine
finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 20 sitting 40 walking and 40 standing. The job is performed in a
generally hazard free environment and in a clean atmosphere.
