Job Description

The Electro Mechanical Technician 2 will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of electrical and mechanical systems. This position is vital for ensuring that machines and equipment operate smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for designing installing and troubleshooting various electrical and electronic circuits while performing basic mechanical repairs as needed.

Skills

  • Ability to design and test minor electrical circuits
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
  • Experience in installing electrical and electronic controls by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints
  • Knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
  • Capable of performing basic mechanical repairs
  • Competence in interpreting blueprints and working from sketches or verbal instructions

Responsibilities

  • Design minor electrical circuits and test and troubleshoot electrical PLC and electronic circuits used for machine control
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts such as brushes and armatures
  • Install and monitor the performance of electrical equipment
  • Layout assemble install test repair and adjust electrical fixtures and equipment
  • Perform various tasks as directed by the Group Leader

Qualifications

  • Twoyear Associate degree required
  • 24 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS
