About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our General Manager Asset Strategy and Planning you will use your asset management knowledge and experience in developing and implementing asset strategies and improvement initiatives to guide the management optimisation reliability long term

performance and strategic direction of Seqwater assets (dams networks treatment and source). You will oversee operationalisation of the asset management system apply best practice asset management principles to ensure that asset performance aligns with the organisation and regulator objectives focusing on asset lifecycle management risk mitigation costefficiency and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic asset management function with responsibility for development maintenance and implementation of Seqwaters Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and asset management system and achieve alignment to ISO55001.
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of key portfoliowide asset management artefacts and processes such as lifecycle intervention forecasting state of the assets and asset performance reporting.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement leading innovation in asset management practices including introducing new technologies and methodologies to optimise asset performance and mature Seqwaters Asset Management system.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of strategic asset management strategies plans and initiatives to enable Seqwater to maximise asset value optimise delivery outcomes and drive improved governance management.
  • Work with stakeholders across the Seqwater enterprise to coordinate and integrate activities through taking a leading role in the asset management governance group
  • Lead the asset management improvement program and identify and implement industry best practice initiatives to mature Seqwaters Asset Management system. Provide leadership direction mentoring and professional development to asset managers and their teams in relation to the capture and analysis of asset performance information and the subsequent development of strategic asset management plans ensure compliance with quality standards.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Essentials

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or relevant technical discipline.
  • Substantial experience implementing best practice asset management processes for significant infrastructure assets with the development and review of strategic asset management plans.
  • Extensive knowledge of asset management practices and processes and implementation within the utility sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Alignment with Seqwater values.

Desirables

  • Post graduate studies in asset management or a qualification in finance or economics in addition to your technical qualifications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage asset performance data for decision making and process optimisation.
  • Ability to lead a small team of asset planners to drive continuous improvement in asset systems and strategies.
  • Unrestricted Class C Drivers License.

This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full time role.
