Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior IT/ICT Engineer with a strong background in the design implementation and management of data center telecommunications and ICT systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both operational and strategic roles focusing on creating scalable secure and cuttingedge solutions for enterprise and telecommunications environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Architecture:
- Develop and design comprehensive IT/ICT solutions including data center infrastructure network architecture and telecommunication systems.
- Create detailed technical blueprints diagrams and documentation for new and existing infrastructure.
- Ensure that designs align with business goals scalability and industry best practices.
2. Implementation & Deployment:
- Lead the endtoend implementation of IT/ICT projects including system integration configuration and testing.
- Oversee deployments in data centers and telecommunications environments ensuring minimal downtime.
- Provide technical leadership during rollouts migrations and upgrades.
3. Data Center Operations:
- Architect and manage data center infrastructure including compute storage and network components.
- Optimize performance and reliability through advanced virtualization automation and monitoring techniques.
- Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity strategies are in place.
4. Telecommunications (Telco) Systems:
- Design and implement telco solutions including WAN SDWAN MPLS and advanced carriergrade networks.
- Collaborate with telco providers to design efficient connectivity solutions.
- Maintain and enhance monitoring and analytics systems to ensure optimal performance.
5. ICT Systems:
- Develop enterprise ICT solutions such as unified communications enterprise collaboration tools and cloud integrations.
- Ensure seamless integration between ICT systems and data center/telco environments.
- Drive innovation by adopting and deploying emerging ICT technologies.
6. Project Leadership:
- Manage complex projects involving multivendor systems crossfunctional teams and subcontractors.
- Deliver projects on time ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and team members.
7. Security & Compliance:
- Design systems with a focus on security compliance and resilience.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations including ISO 27001 GDPR and others.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks in IT/ICT infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Telecommunications or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in IT/ICT engineering with significant exposure to design and implementation in data center and telco environments.
- Proficiency in data center technologies (servers storage virtualization) telecommunications systems (WAN SDWAN MPLS) and ICT platforms (UCaaS enterprise applications).
- Strong handson experience with hybrid cloud environments including AWS Azure and GCP.
- Expertise in networking protocols infrastructure design and network security solutions.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible Terraform) and containerization platforms (Docker Kubernetes).
- Certifications in relevant domains (e.g. CCNP VMware VCP ITIL or PMP) are highly desirable.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on innovation.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into businessfriendly solutions.
- Excellent communication collaboration and leadership abilities.
- Deep knowledge of telcograde infrastructure and enterprise ICT applications.
- Experience with advanced technologies like AI IoT and edge computing is a plus.
