Senior Software Development Engineer AWS FSx for Windows

AWS FSx is a fastgrowing managed file system service offering customers their choice of file system with the quality reliability and scale of AWS.

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon FSx for Windows team as we grow and innovate with Windows on AWS.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with crossdisciplinary Amazonians to conceive design and bring products and services to market.
Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
Dive deep into technical challenges at the OS storage and networking layers
Work in an agile environment to deliver highquality software.
Lead and mentor engineers contribute to a fun and inclusive work environment

A day in the life
Our team of talented passionate engineers use the latest in serverless and virtualization technologies to build distributed systems at AWS scale. We solve complex varied problems to enable customers in a diverse set of businesses from AI/ML to EDA Media & Entertainment to HPC and enterprise IT that have a need to interact with Windows file systems. We build infrastructureascode to deploy software quickly and efficiently across the globe and automate the monitoring and health of our software at never seenbefore scale.

5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
5 years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java C or C# including objectoriented design experience
* Experience with Windows Operating System fundamentals and Active Directory
* Experience with Windows device drivers filesystem drivers or filter drivers
* Experience with .NET programming
