Job Description:
As the General Manager: Financial and Operational Audit you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of telecommunications in Africa. This position offers unparalleled exposure to diverse markets and the chance to drive financial and operational excellence across a multibillion dollar organization. Youll be at the helm of ensuring robust governance and risk management practices working closely with executive leadership to safeguard and enhance the companys reputation and performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of cuttingedge internal audit strategies
Design and execute riskbased combined assurance plans for financial and operational business areas
Drive innovation in audit approaches leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies
Collaborate with Csuite executives and OpCo CEOs to provide strategic insights and drive business improvement
Spearhead the cultivation of a highperformance audit culture across the group
Represent the internal audit function in key management and board governance forums
Mentor and develop a diverse team of audit professionals fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
Requirements:
CA (SA) or equivalent qualification with CIA and/or MBA as added advantages
Minimum 810 years of senior management experience with at least 3 years in telecommunications or related industries
Proven track record of working across diverse cultures and geographies
Exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive highperforming teams
Indepth knowledge of international accounting standards and best practices in corporate governance
Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively at board level
Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct integrity and independence
