Application Engineer - Mundelein

The Application Engineer will join our CNC Manufacturing Client in Lake County IL responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of CNC tool & cutter grinding machines. The role involves conducting field service at customer facilities particularly working with Straustak machines and understanding Numroto software. You will provide comprehensive support to customers both onsite and remotely addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues effectively with expected travel of up to 50 within the USA Canada and Mexico.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC grinding machinery including mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic repairs
• Handson individual with a strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in troubleshooting maintenance and part identification

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

• Technical certifications in CNC machinery or related fields are a plus

Experience Requirements

• Relevant technical field service experience with CNC grinding machinery
• Experience traveling to customer sites and providing great customer service
