Cameron House is a 150 year old institution that is deeply woven into San Francisco history and rooted in faithbased outreach and support. We proudly hold the honor of serving the evolving needs of the San Francisco Chinese community. Cameron House is a hub of yearround programs and services. These programs include our heritage youth school adult ESL and computer classes counseling services in English Cantonese and Mandarin domestic violence intervention and case management for accessing all of the San Francisco area community resources available for low to moderate income individuals and families. We empower community members to build strength and resilience through familycentered programs and help people learn heal and thrive.


JOB SUMMARY

The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and supports the organization with the administration and project management of key business initiatives. Responsibilities include: proactively supporting the CEO; acting as a project manager for special projects; ensuring alignment of key strategic priorities; and ensuring key communications are effectively documented and distributed.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive Support

  • Support CEO with administration and project management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and facilitate clear and effective communication between CEO and internal/external stakeholders
  • Support organizational development to build company and staff culture
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Prepare draft reports presentations and correspondence in support of executive team strategic initiatives
  • Monitor progress on strategic initiatives and deliver regularly timed updates to leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board for the CEO
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Project Management

  • Oversee key projects ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
  • Act as a bridge between departments to promote collaboration and alignment
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and recommend solutions
  • Prepare draft reports presentations and correspondence to support executive decision making

Office Administration

  • Assist with overall office administration
  • When necessary assist with front desk receptionist duties such as greeting visitors answering phones and managing the reception area
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

    • Possesses advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Google Suite project management tools and communication platforms (Slack and Asana).
  • Communication Skills
    • Bilingual/Biliterate in English and Cantonese / Mandarin a plus!
    • Possesses strong relationship building skills; works to ensure key stakeholders inquiries are answered and needs are met in a timely manner.
    • Possesses exceptional business writing and verbal skills; able to communicate information and ideas clearly so others understand the message.
  • Able to Reason & Think Critically
    • Possesses strong problem solving analytical and critical thinking skills; acts with sound judgment and practical approaches solutionoriented.
Requirements
  • Required: Minimum of one 1 to three 3 years of experience in an executive support or operational role.
  • Required: At least one 1 year of experience in project management.
  • Required: HIghtouch customer service experience.
  • Required: Experience working with Google Workspace Microsoft Office (i.e. Microsoft Word ExcelPowerpoint) Slack and Zoom
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Management or a related field.

IMPORTANT!

  • Achieve satisfactory clearance from the Department of Justice via Live Scan
  • Undergo a screening for tuberculosis
  • Complete a Sexual Harassment Prevention training

SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week
  • Occasional evening and weekend event participation

COMPENSATION

As a financial steward of public funds Cameron House is committed to pay equity and transparency. Cameron House offers competitive base salaries aligned with the market midpoint for notforprofit organizations of similar size. To maintain this commitment Cameron House does not negotiate salary offers; instead each offer is carefully calculated using benchmarking data. This is an exempt (salary) role with a pay range of $67500 $82500 a year.
