We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Development Specialist to join our team. The primary objective of this role is to enhance our security remediation process shift security to the left in the development cycle and improve our overall security posture. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating scalable and automated solutions for vulnerability management and remediation across various security findings including Qualys TSR and container vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Development:

• Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline the security remediation process.
• Design and build scalable automation frameworks using Java Python and other relevant frontend frameworks.
• Create automated workflows for vulnerability detection assessment and remediation.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security practices and tools into CI/CD pipelines.

Vulnerability Management:

• Ensure comprehensive coverage for all types of vulnerabilities including container security and TSR findings.

Container Security:

• Build and maintain automated solutions for container vulnerability scanning and remediation.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with crossfunctional teams including development operations and security to ensure cohesive and effective security practices.
• Communicate security risks and remediation plans to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Provide regular updates and reports on security posture and remediation progress.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications
2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree OR 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
Relevant working experience of up to 2 years in the industry
Proven experience in software development particularly in full stack projects demonstrating adherence to standard development best practices
Strong understanding and practical experience with data structures and algorithms with a passion for tackling complex problems
Proficiency in Java and Python programming.
Strong knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
Experience with SQL RDBMS and InMemory Databases like Redis.
Familiarity with Kafka SpringBoot and Spring Framework.
Strong knowledge of API development.
Familiarity with version control systems specifically Git.
Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and Shell Scripting.
Awareness of and experience with software design patterns.
Experience working within an Agile framework.
Familiarity with AI concepts and tools including GitHub Copilot for code development
