Job Description

Epworth Freemasons is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Acute Physiotherapy Team. This is a parttime role 22.8 hours per week) ideally spread across Monday to Wednesday with some flexibility in days and hours for the right candidate.  In this role you will manage a varied acute surgical and ICU caseload while also contributing to nonclinical responsibilities that support the development of our service and team.


As a senior clinician you will bring strong clinical expertise in the acute inpatient setting along with a passion for leadershipwhether you are an emerging leader or bring proven experience in a senior role. You will also demonstrate a commitment to service improvement supported by involvement in quality initiatives and/or clinical research.


You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering individualised evidencebased physiotherapy care to acute surgical and ICU patients
  • Providing senior clinical leadership within the physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams
  • Driving service development and improvement through collaboration quality initiatives and research
  • Demonstrating flexibility initiative and a commitment to safe highquality care in a dynamic environment
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive team culture across physiotherapy and allied health

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive acute physiotherapy experience (minimum 7 years)
  • Proven leadership skills including staff supervision mentoring and education
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidencebased practice
  • Strong communication time management and organisational abilities
  • A passion for collaborative patientcentred care and achieving highquality outcomes

Located in East Melbourne close to public transport and the CBD Epworth Freemasons provides a range of worldclass health services. As one of Victorias leading maternity hospitals Epworth Freemasons specialises in womens and mens health services including breast and gynaecological surgery endoscopy and urology. Epworth Freemasons also offers comprehensive cancer care and a full range of surgical services including robotic assisted surgery orthopaedics and ICU care.
Epworth Freemasons has recently upgraded and expanded its operating theatres and admissions facilities along with major refurbishments of patient rooms and building infrastructure.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council
  • Current physiotherapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
