Job Summary

The Assistant Swimming Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Swimming/Diving Coach with all aspects of a competitive Missouri Valley Womens Swimming/Diving program. The Assistant Swimming Coach will not only assist with coaching specific swimming skill but also assist with all phases of the recruitment of highly skilled prospective studentathletes from identification and evaluation through signing them to athletics scholarships etc. The Assistant Swimming Coach is responsible for conducting all of their duties and activities with integrity and within NCAA rules Missouri Valley Conference rules the State of Illinois requirements Illinois State University and Athletics Department regulations.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$45000 $48000

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelors Degree
2. Experience as a successful swimming coach including ability to teach/coach advanced skills in the sport of swimming.
3. Demonstrated ability to recruit talented high school and transfer studentathletes
4. Proven organizational leadership ability and both oral and written communication skills
5. Strong commitment to academic goals and studentathlete welfare
6. Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules governing eligibility financial aid and recruiting
7. CPR/AED and First Aid certified (or eligible for certification upon employment)
8. Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

1. Masters Degree
2. One to two year of collegiate and/or club swimming coaching experience (graduate assistant level coaching is accepted).

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete daytoday work.
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
