Job Description
Were at an exciting juncture to redefine the future of EC2 networking for Cloud Computing in 2025. To achieve our ambitious goals were expanding our team and looking for a Senior Engineer to lead the development of a new EC2 Service critical to scale our current and nextgeneration Machine Learning (ML) and HPC Platforms.
You will also be a technical leader for a team that owns the softwaredefined networking (SDN) dataplane stack that powers EC2 networking across diverse industries such as ML Cloud Gaming Health Fintech and Video Streaming. Our work impacts millions of customers globally delivering secure scalable and highperformance networking solutions at incredible scale.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the endtoend design scoping implementation and integration testing of new products and features that run on the EC2 Nitro System.
You set high standards for development processes tools and automation to enhance team productivity and quality.
Own the team architecture and define best engineering practices on design and coding.
You identify business problems and opportunities and advocate for technical solutions that influences the technical roadmap for your team and partner teams.
Mentor engineers with scoping design and developing scalable and maintainable code.
Collaborate with Principal Engineers Product Managers Sr TPMs and crossfunctional teams to define requirements system architectures and implement robust and scalable solutions.
5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
