Job Description
Are you a jack of all trades if so our Engineering Supervisor role will allow you to lead and train engineering and
landscape team members in all technical and nontechnical areas. This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C & R systems laundry equipment
- kitchen equipment water and wastewater systems carpentry tile plumbing painting and minor automotive
- repairs.
- Assume responsibilities of the Area Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer in their absence.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel fire system water system sewage system and irrigation system
- Respond to all emergency or lifethreatening situations
- Follow established safety procedures
- Log and communicate all essential information in the Engineering logs
- Duties include emergency oncall status
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 34 years of experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician preferably within a hotel or
- property management environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment
- Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts materials and necessary
- tools
- Ability to take action and make decisions whenever necessary as directed by the Area Director of
- Engineering in conjunction with owner/owners representative
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions on the assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as
- well as follow directions on warning labels
- Ability to communicate in English with guests coworkers and management
- Valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record
- Technical School certification preferred.
