Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living short term accommodation (respite) social connections lifestyle options therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.

About Your Role

Scope has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Restrictive Practice and Authorisation Team Leadto work within ourQuality Safeguarding and Practice Division.

Reporting to the Head of Practice Governance and Regulatory Reporting this role manages the Authorised Practice Officer Team in promoting the least restrictive practices strengthening governance and driving continuous improvement in behaviour support practices.

Your Key Focus

  • Collaborate to develop the capabilities of frontline leaders employees and key stakeholders on restrictive practices positive behaviour support and client quality and safeguarding
  • Support Scopes compliance with relevant legal regulatory and compliance obligations including the Disability Act 2006 (Vic) the NDIS Quality Framework
  • Build networks and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to bring client their support networks and our people on the journey

What We Look For

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work Psychology Disability Studies Allied Health and/ or related field is essential
  • Certification or training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and restrictive practices compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to understand interpret and apply legislation regulations policies and/or practices relevant to restrictive practice and positive behaviour support
  • Demonstrated experience leading coaching training and/or developing others.
  • Sound knowledge of the NDIS Portal and registration requirements for disability organisations or similar knowledge from related sectors (e.g. health aged care or community).
  • Demonstrated experience in the disability services sector or similar; or the ability to rapidly adapt to the sector.
  • Experience desirable in managing clients on Supervised Treatment Orders (including development of treatment plans); assuring safety quality and compliance with legal regulatory risk management and practice requirements.
