Caretaker

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Caretaker on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 15.86 21.13 per hour

Summary:

We are recruiting a Caretaker to cover a designated estate patch with the position being fully funded through leaseholder service charges. The role is essential to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and general upkeep across the estate.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly clean communal areas of the estate including stairwells entrances and walkways
• Carry out minor maintenance tasks and report any larger issues to the appropriate team
• Ensure refuse areas are clean and clear; assist with bin movements where necessary
• Carry out inspections and identify any potential health and safety hazards
• Engage professionally with residents and report any concerns to management
• Work collaboratively with estate services and housing teams to maintain standards

Essentials:

• Previous caretaking facilities or estate maintenance experience preferred
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage a regular patch route
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically able to carry out manual tasks on a daily basis

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires a Basic DBS
